Details Francesca (Esther Zimmering) wishes she were having a better Christmas Eve. Instead of sitting home by the fire, she has to go out into the cold to find her little sister, Antonietta (Kim Schnitzer) who has run away to Rotterdam with her boyfriend. Along the way, Francesca picks up another troubled young woman, Gerlinde (Hannelore Elsner), who is on the verge of committing suicide.
